A Day of Need.

Comfort is all I can give.

I will not go into why I want to give comfort to some friends here, but I can only say that today is a day of need for it. Some are ill, some are doing things that are difficult, some just need a hug, some need healing sent their way.

So what did I do, I made cookies. Cookies are a comfort food. Today I am also going to make some soup, but the cookies are prettier and so this is what I am sending to all who need some comfort. These are Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Peanut cookies. Yes, that is a mouth full and I can e-mail the recipe to those who would like to have it. It is from the Better Homes and Garden Cookbook.

My prayers and best wishes are being sent to all those who need it today. I have had tears flowing for a loss that will happen today and such a feeling of helplessness. Tears are healing and I have had many, but nothing near what the person facing the loss. My heart is full of love today. My prayers are with you all.

God bless.

Thanks for the cookies, will try to leave a few for others that drop by. sometimes it is the simple gestures that mean the most, that people feel a little more alive because someone notices their pain and they know they are not alone. thanks from me and for all that you do.

and yes, WV is gone, just for you. consider it my cookie back. smiles

Oh, that is a great thank you gift. If you want this cookie recipe let me know. All I can say is that the cookies are good. Almost like a candy bar. Tell Logan that I would send them if I could, to make him feel better. I too have gotten upset when my fish have died. You do develope a closeness to them. I have buried a few, but flush them now. That way they will go into a compost pile and come back to life by feeding a plant.

God bless.

Hi Candie,
My youngest granddaughter tells me she is the princess when she is here and I tell her that I am the boss and I am the Queen Bee, and around here she has to do what I say. She does not like that one at all, but oh well, at 5, she needs to learn to behave. Her brothers will say she does not have to do anything cause she is the princess, I keep telling them they have to stop telling her that or she will not behave because she will think she can do what she wants. But the poor girl lives with 5 older brothers and they spoil her rotten. Especially her dad. I think I have my work cut out for me with this one. She is getting better when she comes here. Oh and now I can tell her it is offical I am a Queen.

God bless.

Mrsupole,I always wondered, where is your pseudo coming from?

I wondered that too! Please illuminate!

This is a very sweet post--the cookies look incredible, and I will most certainly make them myself, as I have that cookbook.

I hope those who need a cookie will take one and feel a little bit better for it!
