Okay, to do these two memes together, here is what I came up with. For ABC Wednesday the letter this week is D and so I rhymed. I also wanted to explain what happened to the duck on subby's back and so here it is. Yeah, I know it is a little sick, but it is what happened to her. She was a good ducky until this person did this to her. I was very disturbed by it.

Daze rhymes with blaze, which gives you cooked duck. Very Disturbing.
Doubt rhymes with snout (Yes,I know a duck has a bill), they cut this off before cooking. Very Disturbing.
Ding rhymes with wing, they leave this on while cooking. Very Disturbing.
Demand rhymes with gland, they leave this on while cooking. Very Disturbing.
Dot rhymes with pot, they cook the duck in one. Very Disturbing.
Dear rhymes with beer, which they use to cook the duck. Very Disturbing.
Dill rhymes with kill, which they do when they cook the duck. Very Disturbing.
Deal rhymes with meal, which is what you get when they cook the duck. Very Disturbing.
Dell rhymes with smell, which is what you get while cooking the duck. Very Disturbing.
Deed rhymes with mead, which you drink while eating the duck. Very Disturbing.
Dice rhymes with rice, which you lay the cooked duck on. Very Disturbing.
Din rhymes with sin, which you committed by killing the duck. Very Disturbing.
Dent rhymes with repent, which you better do really soon. Very Disturbing.
Dart rhymes with heart, I pray for yours cause you ate the duck. Very Disturbing.
Dick rhymes with sick, yup you are for eating Subby's duck. Very Disturbing.
Dine rhymes with crime, which is what you did when you ate his duck. Very Disturbing.

ReplyDeleteExcellent Poem. I love the extraneous comments at the end— ties all of the phrases together. And I love the way that you combined two memes together. I did that once with Tuesday's Tribute and Spin Cycle and had a blast.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the visits, I think that somehow I stepped off into the dark side with this poem. I think all the pain from my surgery is getting to me and not being able to do the things I want to.
ReplyDeleteBut I also just wanted to try something totally different for me and something far above my realm. But on some strange level, I kinda like the weirdness of this piece.

ReplyDeleteI just got it posted, had another day of Physical Therapy and so was a little worn out and just wanted to rest and rest and then I had to somehow get some energy to get this written and posted. I finally got it done and was just checking for spelling and punctuation errors.
But I am done and now it is posted. I got to go to bed now cause I have to go see my shoulder Specialist Doctor tomorrow or I should say today. Then I will come visit everyone of the TT's that I can. I lifted my arm up somewhat on my own today at PT, but then all night I have had to have the ice pack on it. But it finally felt better and that is why I was able to type my TT. Still getting sharp pains in it from the lifting today.
