Theme Thursday...........HISTORY

This weeks Theme Thursday is History.

This is a picture of Christopher, my newest grandson. He is playing baby Jesus. He knows nothing about baby Jesus. Do any of us truly know about baby Jesus? We know a little. But the most important thing that we know about baby Jesus is that no other baby would change the history of the world after his birth in such a way as he. And no other birth has ever been celebrated such as his.

Whether you believe that Jesus is your Savior or not. Whether you believe the stories about Jesus or not. Whether you believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Whether you believe that Jesus did the miracles in the New Testament. Whether you believe Jesus came back to life. Whether you believe that Jesus will someday return. Whether you love Jesus with all your heart. Whether you celebrate Christmas because of Jesus. Whether you believe anything about Jesus, you have to say that he is a major part of modern history.

But back to baby Christopher, isn't he a little cutie? He has been spending a lot of time with us and he is a bundle of pure joy. He was really sick with an upper respitory infection. He had to fight it on his own due to his being too young for any medication. Thank God that he survived. I have spent a lot of time praying to Jesus to keep Christopher safe and to heal his little body. So for me to see a picture of him playing little Jesus was a joyous occasion. I hope you all enjoy the picture too.

  8. Sherry: He is adorable! That is such a cute picture! Sending love for his quick and complete healing. And, yes I so agree, that no matter where you stand on believing that Jesus was the chosen one or believing that he as a great teacher, his impact on history is undeniable.

Nice to have you posting again.

  12. True. No one comes close to as central a figure so I am always amazed that people in the West at least can go through life without caring to even read what one of the gospels might say. I awlays find it compelling how its fact that the censuss was done that Herod had the boys all killed as they heard of this prophecy, and that no one argued his miracles or waht he said but the source of Jesus's miracles, even his dissenters admitted they happened. And no could present a body to dispel this so called religious cult from rising, how easy that would have been.

    Congrats on your christopher!!!

  14. I'm so glad he's better, it must have been a very worrying time although I can't believe they couldn't give him antibiotics even as a tiny baby. And you're right, whether you believe in the man or the myth, Jesus is one character that has an enduring past and future.
