Theme Thursday...........BOTTLE

I have never seen an aluminum bottle for sale anywhere. Have you?

From Wikipedia

Main article: Aluminum bottle
The aluminum beverage bottle, launched in 2002, also known as a bottlecan, is made of recyclable aluminum with a resealable lug cap that fits onto a plastic sleeve. Some studies have concluded that aluminum provides for increased insulation keeping beverages cooler longer than glass.

This week's Theme Thursday is Bottle.

This week Hubby told me that I had

Better
Organize
The
Things
Lying
Everywhere

in our house. And so I had to agree with him. I will be taking a semi-break to where I will be limiting my time on the computer and I will be spending time going through all the stuff lying around the house. I guess this could also be called "Spring Cleaning". I will be back for next week's Theme Thursday if I survive without anything falling on top of me, and then no one finding me for a few years. I am thinking it will take me a few weeks (wishful thinking) to get even a little organized, but I am going to have a go at it.

And unless I do get lost, I will still leave at least one comment a day at VE's. I am still hoping to end up in the top ten this year. How he sucks me in each year with all that Nonsense is beyond me. What can I say, I am a FanNo.

I've seen these, tho' not the beer ones; mainly those energy drinks and even some of the hoity-toity bottled waters...what? Like this is gonna get folks to recycle more?

Roughly $140,000,000 a year still goes to our incinerators and landfills... and that's just in Massachusetts! Talk about "money to burn" or "buried treasure"!

happy cleaning, Mrsupole! I'm doing the same thing around here and it is very satisfying, let me tell you.

As for the bottles; I have never seen such things.

Of all places, I have seen aluminum beer bottles at Disney World.

Safer, for the lack of glass protects little feet and hands, but seriously... Disney World?

Mine is here.

Nope - have not seen an aluminum bottle of beer. Oregon pioneered "the" bottle bill way back in 1971 which certainly promoted recycling. Could always do more though.

I have NOT seen these bottlecans! Hmmm, interesting.

As for your cleaning...best wishes to you. I would think you would HAVE to sit and rest a bit here and there and THAT would give you the excuse to peruse a bloggo or two! ;)

Yep, I've seen these. Whoopee. Good luck with the spring cleaning. We only clean when company is expected.

I have, actually... can't recall a Budweiser bottle, but have seen the Bud Light versions.

I need to adopt hubby's BOTTLE agenda myself and I am feeling the urge. If I don't see you at VE's, I'll come looking for you. Good luck and carry on.

You know I have seen aluminium bottles but I can't for the life of me remember where. As for their insulating powers? Not in a climate like ours I'm afraid. We have to wrap our bottles in the fabric they use for wetsuits to keep them cold for just a few minutes! Good luck with the spring cleaning . . you're making me feel guilty now.
