Night Trolling

Lost and Found!!!!

I had discovered that I had turned into a Night Troller at Blogger Help because I could not post or leave comments on blogs. I think the only ones who could read a comment were those who had to approve before it was posted but they could not post it either.

I was lost!!!

Then the trolling began.
Trolling showed me that there are many others bloggers in bloggyworld who were having the same problem as me. There did not seem to be an answer to the problem on Blogger Help other then to possibly try a new browser, which I honestly had no idea what that was. I finally found out what that meant. But I had no idea how to go about changing it. I finally found out how to post (took about 20 steps) and I asked for help. I got the name and then the link from some friendly blogging buddies. Thank you Everyday Goddess and Baino for the help.

Then I downloaded the new browser and I was found!!!

I could now leave comments. I am starting to get around to making comments again. Posting is still taking more than one step, but hopefully it will get fixed. But the funny thing is that I can now make comments from my old browser. No postings but comments at most places.

I have to say I do like IE as my browser and not so much MF because there are certain things that I cannot do that I could do on IE. But I guess I have no choice but to use both browsers.

So I lost somethings and I found some other things.

I just want to thank everyone for their help and kind comments. You are all the best.

  1. i like IE better, but firefox is making it work right now, despite how annoying it can be...hope they get it fixed....glad you are back....

  2. Welcome Back! I find Firefox is Fine .

  3. I use a Mac and the inbuilt browser is Safari but I don't like it for a variety of reasons. Firefox seems much more stable. Just a warning, if you use Google Chrome, it can put extra code in your blog posts which also causes a bit of a problem if you do complex formatting. Glad you're back on the wagon!

  4. Isn't it nice to have friends who have talents with things like computers and blogging issues?? I use Firefox on my mac and like it lots. It comes with somethin' called Safari but it's not as much fun to use and doesn't do as many cool things - I hear Google has a nifty browser out now, but I'll just stay with what I understand. Life is easier that way. Hope you are well - I miss all my bloggy friends. xo

  5. Hi! Mrsupole...
    Welcome back!
This have been a very interesting read...I'am glad that your issues is been addressed and somewhat resolved.
By the way,I "grabbed" the image and the link too!
    Thanks, for sharing!
    DeeDee ;-)

  6. Hi Brian,

I know what you mean about liking IE better than MF, it just seems easier to use and does a lot more. But I guess one has to go with the one that works. I can still use IE for most things and for comments on some blog site, so I am thankful for that. Maybe some day Blogger will fix the problem.

    Hi Tony,

I am glad you like MF, but I seem to find there are many things that I cannot do that I can on IE. I guess I will figure it out someday, but for now I will just keep on learning.

    God bless.

  7. Hi Helen,

Maybe that is the problem because I started having all these problems when I upgraded to IE 9 and added my blog site to Windows Live. It seemed to take control of my blog and I cannot delete it off of there. And I have tried to not sign in, but it seems my blog site is always signed into IE Windows Live. Thanks for the info about the Chrome.

    God bless.

  8. Hi Linda,

That is funny how you like Firefox when it seems most do not, but then again maybe it works a little differently with a MAC than a PC. I am glad you are liking that MAC so well. They are such cool computers and so much easier to use. I am truly gonna have to save up for one. Right at this moment I am playing with an iPad that Granddaughters friend is letting me check out. I will be posting about it. It was nice to see you stop by for a visit. I truly miss your posts.

    God bless

  9. Hi DeeDee,

I am so glad you "grabbed" it and ran with it, I truly hope others will follow your lead and share it around the world and hopefully maybe somewhere we can make a difference. Now if we could just get rid of those burqa's and have true freedom for the women of the world. We can only pray for "real change" to take place.

I too am glad that I have somewhat figured things out, well at least to make comments most of the time. I am still reading so many posts trying to catch up and then leave a comment but I can only post from Firefox and it still take about 6 steps of changing things in "Settings". I have to keep switching the Editor from old to new to do different things. A true pain in the butt. I do like the new look on your site, but guess I will keep mine for a while longer.

    Thanks for your visit.

    God bless.

  10. A frustrating process yes! UGH!
Glad you are back on track!

  11. For the same reasons as you I have to use two Browsers. IE is so slow that I'm often relieved for the speed of Firefox, but still there are some blogs I can't comment on so I have to nip back to IE to do it.... and complain again about the long time it takes to open the box.

  12. Well I am glad you are back, I have missed your thoughts. Please stop by and visit.

Thank you for the visit and I want to say "Hi",
Also, I love comments from everyone who stops on by.
I hope you will leave a comment for me to see,
Then I can visit you, and leave one that's from me.
