Hi Coco,

I was not sure if you had seen the post my ma did about me. I mean she even put pictures of me on it. She is spoiling me rotten and pa bought me a dog house yesterday, but I like my bed inside the house the best. And ma bought me a whole box of different kinds of doggy treats. I cannot decide which one I like the best. Now if I could just stop peeing on the carpet then ma would be so happy with me. Dang it I missed that pad again.

Gotta go, I am going into Witness Protection right now.

Thank you. I too am not sure how you judge a Haiku, but I think as with all poetry it you just somehow get it then it is good. Haiku's seem to be very short and I mean very short poetry. I read that the less readers understand the actual poem then the better the poem is. But that they need to understand at least half of what the poet is trying to say. If they understand more than half then the value of the poem goes down. Whereas regular poetry is where you should understand all or most of it.

We will see how well I will be able to confuse you and still be sarcastic. Subby is getting into Haiku's too. Be prepared to be Haiku'd.

Nice to meet you and thank you for visiting my site. A cold day of sunshine is because being in menopause you just want cold days but the sunshine is so beautiful, so I really thought that those two go well together.

I think that I too will be thinking in Haiku all the time pretty soon. I get obsessed with something and then I go full at it and will try to learn as much as I can about it. I try to do the best as I can and I will look forward to seeing your Haiku's too.

Your list was fantastic and thank you for letting us know about this. You really should try and give the Haiku's a try. It would go very well with the style of writing that you have been doing lately. Go to Wikipedia and read about it. I think you will be surprised at how well you will fit in with the rules and doing it. Pretty soon in no time at all you will be the Haiku Master. Just remember I was the first one to tell you this and so I should get your first book dedicated to me. Just kidding okay well not really, yes dedicate it to me.LOL

Glad you liked the list. And Maggie might be cute but she is now getting spoiled. If I could just get her to stop peeing in the house then she would be even cuter. But we just bought her diapers yesterday and we will have to see how that works out when it rains. If it is raining she has problems with wanting to go outside and she pees right beside the pee pads but not on them. Ugggg, what is wrong with her. I will have to give her time.

Good shot at your first haiku - remember they are always 7-5-7 - that's it - except if you want to be traditional, then it has to be about nature - but I'm never traditional; I usually haiku about EmmaLou.
